earlier in my career, i relied on two things to expedite my career mobility:
1) make myself available at all hrs of the day
2) increase my spontaneous interactions w tenured employees by spending a huge amount of time at our office's watering hole (is this new orleans thing)

i was taught, through positive reinforcement, that i was doing the right things. i remember receiving a 1am message from a c-level after a night of drinking thanking me for being a "good influence on the boys club." i never missed a weekday happy hour after that
through covid (and a job change), ive learned that there are other options. while i wished that i had learned this sooner, im thankful for the opportunity to let others learn from my mistakes
the importance of these conversations, especially for women, has only increased during the pandemic. work life balance is more important (and more fraught) than ever, and the opportunity for spontaneous interactions has gone to... zero
please chime in if you've found the silver bullet for career mobility in a time of remote work
i certainly havent, but its something ill continue to prioritize talking about openly
