[Thread] Been spending a lot of time observing, talking to & reading up about how to be a prolific creator build an audience at will.

I have collected the top 12 observations/ tweets in this thread.
1/ To be a prolific creator, we have to free ourselves from the burden of trying to be completely original.
2/ Instead of wasting time networking, take advantage of your network. Share what you are working on, post your ideas online, learn in public.
3/ The number of impressions on your tweet doesn't tell you whether someone read your tweet thrice or if they loved it so much to take a screenshot of it. Forget the numbers, focus on qualitative impact.
4/ Learning in public is a great way to build an audience.
5/ How to learn in public:

1. Be obsessed about something
2. Invite others to be obsessed with it
6/ If you stopped creating because of the fear of trolls, you aren't in love with the process of creating. You are in love with the applause.
7/ A tiny goal that will change a creator's life: turn 1 follower into a raving fan.
8/ How to create an audience on the internet?

Think of a 'word' you want to own 18 months from now.

Start writing about it.
9/ When building online relationships, the things that you can't count, count.
10/ Don't copy their work. Copy their thought process.
11/ Put away your phone. Turn off your laptop. Unplug your wifi. Bore yourself so much that the only option is to create.
12/ Better to shitpost than to not post.
