heartbreaken by the number of folk i've seen, mostly women, who are worried that e.g. sharing a thread of art they've made in the year would be boastful / self-regarding / annoying on this, a website designed for sharing updates about your life with people called "followers".
as someone from an island of 700 people in a country with a cultural cringe so severe there are multiple volumes of literary and psychological theory about it: please! be proud of your achievements!
and if you are someone reacting negatively to another's or my year-end round-up thread: hello. what you are experiencing is a normal human emotion we all experience called "envy". it is a good tool for noticing what you are anxious and insecure about in yourself.
a healthy way of dealing with envy is to ask what beliefs about yourself you are enacting, and what you could do for yourself instead.

an unhealthy & often misogynistic way of dealing with envy is to think that someone sharing their accomplishments is somehow morally wrong.
so, if you make and do things in the world and you'd like to reflect back on that and share things your pals might have missed, please do. i would very much like to learn about what you've been up to.
