The biggest problem with most of us Nigerian youths using Twitter from mostly big cities is that we don't know or understand Nigeria. We think we do, but we don't.And if we ever get into the position to fix things,we will fail. Because you can't fix what you don't even understand
This disconnect between us and the reality of at least 80% of Nigeria is why we are quick to use the word "saner cLimes" when discussing issues here.

It is also that disconnect that explains the lack of involvement/participation of "enlightened" youths in our Politics
Most of us actually have an idea of WHAT Nigeria should be like. That is quite easy. We have good case practises from "saner cLimes."

It is when we come down to the question of HOW to localise those ideas to our reality that the card begin to crumble. Because it doesn't fit
For most of us, we are just left with the usual outrage. A politician gives transistor radio to his constituency, we are outraged. We compare to "saner cLimes."

A Politician shares rice to the masses, we are outraged. Always the sign of a disconnect. Big disconnect.
But here is the thing. Most of these politicians actually understand the REAL Nigeria. And they know how to exploit the realities of that Nigeria for their political gain.

And that is why the outrage of the Twitter electorate hasn't led to any real Political change. It ends here
This country isn't what most of us think it is oo. There are places you'd visit in the federal capital Territory and you'd be shocked.

To fix things in this country, you'd need to combine "what is being done" and then "what YOU THINK SHOULD BE DONE."
