The problem is not celebrity culture, the problem is that a lot of y’all are too invested in their personal lives. I love Beyoncé but there are certain things I don’t look onto her for. I don’t believe I should relate to a celebrity so I take what helps me out.
If I’m super stressed, I watch her live performances.
If I’m working towards a goal that’s making me feel like giving up, I watch behind the scenes of her live performances.
If I’m a bit sad, I listen to her music.
When I’m happy, I watch her music videos.
The thing is y’all lack life purpose so y’all are too invested in these celebrities to the extent of plotting their downfalls. Enjoy these celebrities for what they have to offer, they’re doing their jobs which is ENTERTAINMENT. THEY ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS OR MULES.
I was in law school 2012-2013 & I was knees deep in stan Twitter because it helped me cope with stress. I still got my 2:1, the problem is with you if you can’t compartmentalize. Take these fun distractions & know when to engage with it. Life is too serious, lighten up.
