To explain why @CoachChoate_MSU would be a top tier pick for BSU a thread. The first two years are tough to judge. They have a different recruiting and coaching style. Choate has shown constant improvement. Every year he has excelled, beat their rival, and done more with less.
His school admin pushed for a contract extension before their last year because they understood what he brought. He knows recruiting. At the FCS level, a 3* recruit is like hitting a 5*. It’s all about development, he learned this from Coach Pete.
Recruiting the unknowns is how FCS guys make their name and grow their brand. He has bent Montana over every year, which means he knows how to get his guys ready to play. Winning every rivalry, when on paper you should lose...
His coaching staff is getting robbed for bigger jobs every year. He knows football and knows guys that ‘get it’. He understands all 3 phases and how to coach them. He knows how to get guys around him that know it better than he does.
Football is coaching the game within the game and @CoachChoate_MSU has it figured out. Not to mention I have gone to war against this man. Four years or getting my butt pushed back in line. He knew how to approach each young man...get them to understand.
And I am still here waving the flag. He fired me from my position multiple times but still got me to keep pushing even after two back surgeries. To the point that i keep in touch with him and follow his career. This is the man you want coaching @BSUFootball
