I remember when I was a kid in the late 80s/early 90s we were forbidden from using “Xmas” because it “crossed out Christ.” Something things got more idiotic than *that*

Also every Christmas-celebrating kid understands that “holidays” refer to Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, and maybe a bunch of other ones, since they get two weeks off from school and their friends might have other holidays

And in the Christian tradition, it’s a holiday from Christmas to Epiphany! What the politicians and pundits won’t do to co-opt your faith to score a point is so insulting. I get angry about it once a year and today is the day.
