Here's some pics of your lessons @TCRWP. This is how my son is taught to "read." How can you read a word if you can't see it?

Is it misrepresentation to show how you teach sight words, @TCRWP? With outlines to show wordshapes, a method that has been debunked for my entire lifetime?

Do I misrepresent the lessons with *Lucy Calkins'* name directly on them in which she cannot or refuses to understand that sight words should be words we can't easily decode and not words like "big"? Or the part where she says sight words are "phonics?"

Please, explain which part is misrepresentation, @TCRWP. I would love to understand. Because you've taught my son to be a real good guesser, but you haven't taught him to read. And you've shattered my trust in our school system, which is something I never thought I would question

I've spent every moment that I could spare the past couple months to help my son read. I've crash-course taught myself how. @TCRWP, you took 2 years to teach him how to look at pictures. Does Lucy Calkins exclusively read illustrated books?

Don't get me wrong, I love a good graphic novel. But how do you guess "thwack" @TCRWP? Or "ka-pow"? Face what you're doing is wrong and change. Our children deserve better.
