It has become necessary to talk about the patreon-only (paywalled) data we provide on http://Evolving-Hockey.com  and how people use it. We want to make sure this is clear so we're going to be direct.

At this time, we are not okay with people using the patreon-only (paywalled) data from http://Evolving-Hockey.com  for their own commercial purposes. We are also not okay with people hosting a paywalled dataset from the site in full elsewhere.

This is not something we really anticipated happening when we first started EH, but it's becoming a bigger issue for us as time has gone on. This is all stated in the Terms of Service on our website (Intellectual Property and Fair Use). https://evolving-hockey.com/blog/tos/ 

To be clear, if you use our data in an article/blog (whether for pay or not), tweet out a chart, post something on reddit, cite our numbers on a radio show, etc. (anything that falls under fair use) we are very happy that you are doing that and hope you continue to do so!

On the other hand, if you download our entire GAR/xGAR/RAPM dataset, repackage or repurpose it (put it in a google sheet, make a player card for each player, put it all on Tableau, etc.), and put it behind your own Patreon (or give it out for free in full) that is not acceptable.
