Look, it's not that I hate G'raha. I don't think anyone actually 'hates' him.
I don't mind the 'has a crush on a hero' characterisation, either.
It's that SE keeps pushing him as something 'more' than the Scions we've stood with for seven years (some even longer).

He's got a stronger emotional connection to WoL than any of the Scions! He's more important to curing tempering than Alisaie! He's as smart (perhaps smarter!) as Urianger! He's as useful as a spy as Thancred!
He can do everything! Be everything! And he LOVES you!

And as someone with a character who's identified as ace - even as far as having actual RP moments about how she feels WRONG for not having that attraction to others - it's off-putting to say the least.
I can't imagine how it feels for someone who just is NOT attracted to males.

Or, heavens forbid, has emotional trauma directly linked to the 'Nice Guy' Stalker Boy. Because I'm not the only one who's noticed actual red flags in his behaviour, IF G'raha was a real guy.
Fiction lets us ignore a lot of creepy behaviour in 'romance' stories.

The final thought to this thread is that the people who 'hate' G'raha are the ones begging you to enjoy whatever ships you personally want to explore and experience. But, with the writing of 5.4, it's starting to feel like THEY cannot.
So love your catboy. He's a good character, hopefully with just a few flaws that turn some others away.
But, let us vent about how we wish the ship didn't feel like it was being pushed on us by the writers.
There's no need to be at our throats about this.
