Lindsay may well be just another radicalised anti-woke white guy (a la Laurence Fox), happy to collaborate with the Far Christian Right. Like so many Libertarian funded platforms, New Discourses claims to embrace 'a diversity of viewpoints', but gravitates to 'anti-woke' ranters.
Lindsay has defended the people at 'Sovereign Nation', a platform which relentlessly indulges in 'Globalist Conspiracy Theories', despises George Soros, & like Jordan Peterson, celebrated far Right leader Viktor Orban banning Gender Studies from Hungarian Universities. 
At the heart of their weirdly narrow ideological view is the daft & absurdly reductionist claim that 'Gender Studies, Critical Race Theory & postmodernism IS MOTIVEATED BY WOKENESS & REJECTS OBJECTIVE TRUTH' - hence their inane merch comprising t-shirts & hats saying 2+2=4. 
New Discourses, Spiked, Breitbart, InfoWars, Turning Point USA & UK etc - & now even lots of Tory MPs - all repeat & amplify the absurd mantra of the DECLINE OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION is due to UNIVERSITIES BEING INFILTRATED BY DANGEROUS WOKE LEFTIES!

While there are always disagreements about current knowledge - including about gender studies, critical race theory & EVERY discipline (because that's partly how knowledge works) the claim Gender Studies/CRT signifies the decline of Western Civilization is laughably preposterous.
So why ARE US Libertarian billionaires, far right nutters, the right-wing press, evangelical nationalist Christians, Trump, Tory MPs, Q-Anon & pretty much the entire right-leaning establishment pushing this stultifyingly ill-informed, absurdly reductionist & pig-ignorant guff?
That's a very big question, which urgently demands serious answers. I have some hunches that are not unrelated to grotesque inequality, deliberately divisive polarisation, disaster capitalism & the appeal of nationalist populism, but I definitely need to ponder a little longer.
Anyway, two people who HAVE been thinking about this a LOT more than me, are Aaron Rabinowitz of @ETVPod, & @seriouspod host, Thomas Smith.
