Today's been a great day.
I don't want to jinx anything but I can feel the energy for 2021.
I know we all said that in 2019, that 2020 would be a great year.
Even with all the turmoil around us, I have found 2020 to be a year of tremendous personal growth.

I have always felt that adversity and being pushed out of one's comfort zone as well as being in the midst of a tumultuous era in time, contributes the resilience and character.
I am less afraid of taking a step forward today than I was in 2019.

I feel 2020 is responsible for this. By no means is a turmoil and the emergency aspect of the pandemic over, but I feel as though I as a person am stronger having gone through it.
I feel as though once we get back to normalcy I'll have less to complain about.

If 2021 chooses to be more difficult than 2020, I feel as though I will have built up some strength to handle that and whatever adversity it so chooses to bring my way.
Throughout my life I have always admired the generations that lived through tough times.

I almost feel obliged to stand up and be the strongest me I can and do what is right for my community around me to keep them safe.
We are in this together, and if we can be that strength for each other we will create a society that can weather any storm.

However this does take effort on all our parts to create a cohesive movement against common cause.
The generations before us were able to do this and were able to set political ideologies aside.
I only wish that we can do the same.

Let's rise to the challenge ahead of us and show ourselves that we have within us what is necessary to end this pandemic and get back to a world where we can truly live again.
