Upshot is that they're as common as Kalashnikovs and every armed group has at least some. Still, little doubt they were launched by an Iranian-backed group. 2000s-era ones were often DIO tan. Seeing more in white and blue through the 2010s.

Note the date: 2016. One thing we don't talk about a lot is that Iran flooded Iraq with these and other small arms by the truckload after the fall of Mosul while it was technically under a U.N. arms export embargo. It was obvious but neither Trump nor Obama admins threw a flag.
