The 2020 #eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series season was unlike any other - most races in a single season, and closest fields I've seen. It really was a struggle throughout the field week in and week out. What Nick Ottinger did was no easy feat, to win this specific title.
Qualifying really came into play a lot of times, and that can be seen for the most part looking at who had good Q seasons - Conti, Leahy, and Zalenski had 4 poles each. Ottinger had ASP of 9th. A good Q lap put you in a good position to get max points week in and week out.
The weekly exceptions to this were Ryan Luza and Garrett Lowe. ASP's of 18th/17th, Luza / Lowe made their work harder on most race weeks. They could slice it up, though. Luza won a series-high 3 races, while Lowe had the third best AFP of 12th.
