đź’ĄI have a pet peeve when people do the whole "ND people just talk completely literally and clearly so we have perfect communication" thing. First of all its clearly equating ND to just autism, which is something i already fuckin hate, and it also limits it to just
one presentation of autism. Not all autists present their unique communication that way. Some, like myself, just drown in endless irony because they cant pick up on intent at all so 'sincere' and 'insincere' approach meaninglessness.
regardless, its unhealthy to promote this idea that "ND people" already have just great, clear, literal communication because you go "well shit if im already just saying things as clear as possible then i dont have to put any work in". Personally ive had just as much
frustration and conflict over differing communication styles with fellow NDs and with fellow autists. I do shit weird, i dont express appreciation and affection in healthy ways, my bpd and autism mesh together and make my communication a fucking mess.
my point is, no , ND people arent inherently 'clearer' or 'better' at communication. Some ND people, specifically autistics do tend to be more literal in their communication, but being more literal isnt always the same as being clearer.
