okay so... I've been asked this a lot today, so I decided to finally make this thread:

Why I deeply dislike the ending of Bad Guys, a thread

(Don't read if you don't want to see a negative review)

ok, for starters, the issue felt awfully rushed, they advertised it as "bad guys vs eggman" and it... wasn't it, the fight against eggman was just eggman shooting to zavok for a couple of pages and then going away, that was horribly underwhelming

mimic walking away casually was>

And so was rough and tumble just walking away just like if nothing had happened after getting recovered from starline's venom

it all was boring, underwhelming, it deserved better than that

starline deciding that he wants to replace eggman>

<is not only a bad idea, but also a stupid one, sega won't allow anyone to take eggman's place, so making him to want to replace eggman is completely useless because we know that won't happen, it's just wasting his potential as a character.

Once Eggman puts him in his place>

<what will he do? what will sega do? it's quite obvious that they will confront each other and eggman will be the one winning (or sonic with eggman) so in the end everything would have been for nothing, just another boring villain, more of the same

I dislike how starline has>

<become a snively 2.0 (an improved version at least tho), starline was his own character, he was good as he was in the early metal virus saga, he was something NEW, something refreshing, but they have to go and ruin it by making him the>

<same cliché of "eggman's ex-lackey who turns against him", which is repetitive and ridiculous

plus starline has become awfully op, he used to be a weak lackey, then in just 2 issues he gets: super speed, super strength, ability to fly, hypnosis, venom>

<and electricity, like... dang guys... I get that starline was a blank paper that had potential, but giving him so many different abilities makes him to be all over the place and overpowered

so yeah, I preferred when starline was true to his character, with the warp topaz>

<and begin a fanboy, he was better back then, he was something likeable, something new, something that we rarely get. That people didn't like him that much? Of course, because people don't like Eggman, but having a character that actually supported Eggman and was>

<willing to work for him just because he admired him was endearing, was fresh, was nice

now it's all gone for Starline's being so obsessed with the Eggman idea that he wants to become an improved Eggman, which we know that will end badly because it's sega we're talking about
