This little sliver of unincorporated area next to Lakeridge Park (formerly Dead horse Canyon) is an abomination.
The fact we allow wealthy suburban enclaves to be their own municipalities and not contribute financially or democratically to adjacent cities is a legacy & continuation of racial and class injustice that should be rectified.
Wealthy folks in these residential-only "cities" don't contribute their fair share of taxes to the regional needs for social services and other public services.
And they don't have to engage with municipal-level debates regarding racial injustice and economic inequality.

In general, because of the history of strategic land use & transportation policies to increase wealth for White families to the detriment of Black families, I'm not a fan of suburban municipalities. I'd much rather have much fewer but bigger cities.
