So, never had the village I live in had a more apt name for the Boxing Day (it'll all end in) tiers.

I live in Nomansland, it's on the border of Hampshire and Wiltshire. It's also in the New Forest National Park.

So.

My house is in Wiltshire. That'll be Tier 2.

The village pub is also in Wiltshire. To get to the pub I go up the road and over the cattle grid. I'm now in Hampshire, which will be Tier 4. So I really shouldn't walk into the pub.

However.

If I walk the other round the back way I stay in Wiltshire.

Trouble is I can't go in the back door as that's not the one way system. So I have to go through a gate at which point if I jump I can make it into Tier 2 without touching Tier 3 ground.

When I walk the dog I go from Tier 2, into Tier 4 as I cross into Hampshire

only to very quickly get back into Tier 3 as I enter the woods which are officially part of the New Forest.

Technically although within the New Forest National Park I pay my tax to Wiltshire not the New Forest Borough Council.

Don't even ask what happens when I go for a run!
