Ask yourself why you still support this man. Why you still buy his jerseys. Why you still swallow all the propaganda @CapitalsPR feeds you about what a swell guy he is. Why a puck being propelled across a random line is more important to you than this.
Look in the mirror and ask.

And hockey media... All of you, from Capitals beat writers to national Canadian and US outlets.
THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST QUESTION YOU ASK HIM EVERY TIME. And keep asking it if he refuses to answer. Alexei Navalny had the balls to confront his killers. Do you have them?

And now, let's debunk some bullshit narrative:
1) Ovechkin is NOT a random Russian. He openly supports Putin: raises money for him, leads a political organization he founded in support of Putin, takes part in pro-Putin campaigning. It's absolutely fair to ask him this!

2) Ovechkin is not doing it "just because he loves his country." Artemi Panarin loves his country. It's possible to love your country without loving a person who murders other people. He is doing it because he supports Putin and his policies and extracts personal benefits from it
