People want to compare the 2020 Dolphins to the early Pats in their dynasty. I've been mulling this. It feels "not quite accurate" and I think I've figured out why.

This does indeed feel a bit like the early Belichick era in terms of "something special is brewing"
The team is doing a dynamite job with top end players to bottom end players and putting them in position to be successful - a key to any successful coach/boss.

The other side is the players, scheme, etc is designed to not put players in a position that will expose their weaknesses - this is another key area.

The team is in alignment from top to bottom from a front office perspective. Tom, Jason, Marino in others are singularly focused and cohesive. This is an underrated aspect allowing the football people to "do their job"

The final and most critical piece is Brian Flores. He is the first coach since Shula that I'm starting to see as a possible "lifer" in Miami. If the Dolphins can continue to put the right pieces in play in other areas that man will be able to lead this team in
