11 years later & the return to #DemonsSouls was even better than the first time around. The combination of subtle gameplay improvements, quality of life features & stunning presentation lifts it above what was already a fantastic game.
Bloodborne is still comfortably my favourite souls-like game, but there are so many unique & brave design choices that make #DemonsSouls stand out after all this time.
It's amazing how faithful #DemonsSouls is the original too. The level design holds up amazingly well in most areas, and you can see the blueprint that it set for future Souls games.
#DemonsSouls photomode needs a shout out too. It's as good as you'd expect from @bluepointgames, doing a fantastic job of showing off the absolutely stellar visuals.
#DemonsSouls visuals are no doubt one of its crowning achievements, but it's impossible not to mention the stunning audio design.

If your new to the Souls games #DemonsSouls is probably one the most challenging entry points, even if some of it's bosses are relatively easy & magic is super over-powered.
My advice, grab a friend, get your summons on & help each other out. It'll make for a much easier ride.
