Kinda had enough of retailers (small and large) calling out Dollarama for being allowed to open. I know targeting big box stores is easy pickings but there is a point to allowing large discount stores to open.
Some folks can’t shop online, due to lack of a credit card or access to a computer or even a bank account. Some folks can only afford food and sundries from places like Dollarama or Walmart, because they only have cash.
“Essentials” might be more than food and hardware. For some, essentials might include clean socks if they have no access to laundry.
Pair of socks at Dollarama: $1
Pair of socks at The Bay: $8 to $155 (I shit you not.)
One of these things is not like the other.

Pair of socks at a local, boutique shop: probably more than $1
Perspective is everything.
Dollarama and WalMart are open because some people need them to be.
