I am critical of my industry.
I love the business, I know many talented people who give their all. I also know marginally talented people who give just enough. Like any machine, both exist in their roles.

There are certain dynamics that this year has revealed that MUST change.
Staff NEED support. Many are "what remains" from culling (covid AND pre-planned). They cannot pour from empty cups.
Creativity needs to be fostered without asterisks. Speak up and listen to others...

Talents need to stop feeling they owe "dues". You are beyond good enough. yes, it's scary to step out on a limb but better to struggle in the sun than to coast in the dark.
For 2021, take time to recharge and remember, YOU are the well, not the bucket...
