Aaron Wan-Bissaka has made more mistakes leading to chances or goals in the Premier League than any other Manchester United player. What's going wrong? Let's take a look. https://twitter.com/HemmenKees/status/1341513282449006594
For starters, he's struggling positionally. 0.67 positional errors and 0.25 tracking errors per 90 are both high figures, with him contributing to almost a chance every match simply by way of being in the wrong places at the wrong times. Let's see some examples.
Wan-Bissaka has struggled in particular with positional attention when the ball is on the far side of the pitch. This has manifested itself in a few ways: many have noted his struggles marking at the back post.

Awareness:
United have conceded at set-pieces this season largely due to communication issues. Here, AWB is at fault. He fails to notice that he is marking 2 men as part of the 4-4 man scheme at the penalty spot. This allows the overload at the near post. https://gfycat.com/biodegradableunkemptavocet

Communication and mutual understanding:
Wan-Bissaka has often seen himself fielded on the same side of the pitch as Scott McTominay this season. The two have lead to many defensive breakdowns due to non-complementary tendencies and a lack of communication...

Both push high in possession at the same time with great frequency. Then, when caught, both move to engage in duels, rather than one pressing to slow the attack while the other drops to fill space. Note the below examples:

It's worth noting that both of the above examples are also instances of a non-existent pressing scheme having downstream effects on defensive structure, which I'll discuss at greater length in a separate thread
These are just a few of the reoccurring issues United have experienced due to Wan-Bissaka's struggles this season. It's been a poor start to the season for the Englishman.
