BREAKING: A SECOND new variant has been found in the UK that is yet more transmissible.
Few details other than the new variant came into the UK from South Africa. Two cases found so far. Unclear is this is the existing new variant from SA or a 3rd. The UK is closing borders to South Africa. All travelers already from South Africa must quarantine, more to follow...
UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock... "This new variant is highly concerning because it is yet more transmissible and it appears to have mutated further than the new variant that has been discovered in the UK."
