The USA is "So polarized" because some people went full racist, and other people are Black, or like Black folk. Instead of addressing the racism, we ask Black folk to "Come together?" 🤔

Black folk don't trust the medical industry due to ongoing, racist, disparate treatment...
Instead of addressing the racist, disparate treatment, we ask Black folk to "Trust us this time!"

Both of these strategies reflect an ongoing lack of empathy for the way that Black folk experience the institutions of politics, or medicine.

Similar story in education, etc.

But I also made sure that both of my children were delivered by a Black doctor.👍🏿 Because I know that in the USA, Black babies delivered by white doctors are 3 times more likely to die. 300%.

Because my pops is a Black surgeon who works with a lot of other Black and Latin doctors. Many Black folk died of Covid, just because they weren't believed, and sent home.
The LA Times did a whole article on TX hospitals that were showing "Early success in the fight against Covid!"

They mentioned everything except: when you put enough Nigerian, Cuban, and Mexican doctors in a hospital, they tend to believe your mostly Black and brown patients.🤷🏿‍♂️
Black and brown folk know that the sudden concern about them taking the vaccine, isn't due to the nation suddenly growing a conscience. It is self serving.

I know that the vaccine happens to help Black and brown folk as well. But look at the knowledge that I needed to get there!
