There are other annoying things here too. I'll list some below.

Even in the abstract: "...which extends even to the First Emperor of Qin, the dictatorial creator of empire in ancient China—even as, in China itself, he remains heavily resented by many thinking people for his brutal and infamously bloody program of empire building." lol

Even a cursory glance at the literature wrt to the Qin would tell you that things like the 焚书坑儒 might not have even happened and there is hardly any concrete historical evidence for it taking place compared to hearsay and fear mongering lol.

Some authors even claimed that the biggest 焚书 took place when the forces of Liu Bang burned the Epang palace to the ground with the imperial library in it. Although this might be a stretch in the other direction, it certainly holds some amount of truth to it.

How come all these westerner clowns are so loud on China while being so ignorant of even basic historical events?
