2021 will mark 30 years to the Madrid Conference.
The conference was a historic turning point in which for the first time, Arab countries (except for Egypt that signed a peace agreement with Israel on 1979) agreed to negotiate with Israel.

Up to the 1991 Madrid Conference, Israel had diplomatic relations with 70 countries. By the end of the decade the number grew to 107.
As to 2020, Israel has formal relations with 174 countries.

The circle of peace grew substantially since the 1991 conference with agreements achieved with Jordan (1994), the UAE (2020) and Bahrain (2020). Full relations are also en route with Sudan and Morocco and hopefully we’ll see more and more countries joining.
