They saw Parasite kick down that door and said oh shit, we better not let them in the house if we're going to stand a chance https://twitter.com/Variety/status/1341550506762596352
Do these people know that tons of Americans don't exclusively speak English and that this movie is literally about the American Experience..........it was shot in fucking Arkansas
As a bilingual American I'm begging pls
Categorizing a movie made and set in America, by an American director, an American lead actor, and a majority American cast and crew under "Best Foreign Language Film" is the Hollywood equivalent of insisting to know where Asian Americans are ~really~ from, though
racism 🙃 https://twitter.com/jonobarel/status/1341674211614572544?s=20
Oh it's definitely that Asian Americans are perpetually viewed as foreigners no matter what we do. The irony is that this film is literally about a 1st generation Asian immigrant and his family attempting to adapt to their new life in middle America 🤦🏻‍♀️ https://twitter.com/hmongperson/status/1341675751498678273?s=20
