Self righteous anger directed at pupils asking for a livable allowance that covers housing, food, adequately. Some of us supported families out of law school. Low allowance = less privileged pupils can't sustain

When i (quietly) asked some lawyers about livable allowance and how it impacts less privileged lawyers, some used successful lawyers who received Rm300 as allowances. And how poor families "sacrificed" for them.

Worshipping the sacrifices of families just masks inequality

I also feel I must qualify that I have done matters with the author of this piece when I was in practice, he was friendly to me as a young lawyer and I don't think he is a boomer(?). I think it is important to criticise and challenge his argument but not to ridicule him
