He didn't even try to save him. He knew what Vader had done he didn't even know he would be willing but "he felt the good in him" no matter what he tried his best to do good. He could of with Ben and did nothing. The story of the Sequel Trilogy isn't even done coherently.

I've realized they messed up. Our heroes deserved better but nice thread and I agree with ur thread but the point is that Rian shouldn't of turned Luke into that. And if I could have George's Sequels then I would just how I feel and a lot of other people.
