Based on a lot of tweets I’m seeing, it seems like a *lot* of people have no idea whatsoever that House Democrats passed a *$3 Trillion* bill back in May.
It included $1200 checks for each adult and each dependent in a household up to 3. ($4800 for a family of four)

We covered the bill a lot on the show because it was clear then more relief would be necessary. McConnell and Trump and the entire GOP said it was dead on arrival. That it was a “blue state bailout” and that we needed to stop paying people not to work.
I think there are some real tactical critiques to offer of Pelosi’s negotiation strategy as well as House Dems messaging, etc. But the basic dynamics of this fight have been fairly consistent. Dems wanted to pass a big relief package, Republicans didn’t.
