It might just be pandemic gestation/2020 hellscape, but my dreams are getting far more personal and far more livid. They’ve been including basically everyone I’ve known and know in my life. So, if I know you, I’ve had a dream you were in! 1/8

And if I’ve had any kinds of feelings for you, you’ve been in multiple dreams 2/8

I mean like if I have a strong emotional connection with you, I didn’t mean to imply romantic feelings only, although the phrase “strong emotional connection” sounds so hipster yoga pants; I kinda hate it. 3/8

But I’ve had so many dreams about hugging people and just remembering everything in exquisite detail. From the way someone’s hair feels under my palms, or the way they smell, or the little physical ticks that make them them. 4/8

It makes me think about the ways I remember people dear to me. I like to memorize all the little details. I usually have a “snapshot” memory of em I pull up in my mind. It’s always deeply connected to some emotion. 5/8

Oddly enough, it’s also deeply connected to a specific location. Like, the campus at Princeton, or Astor Place, or the Trenton Train Station, or the front of the Hilton San Diego, or the NAPS hotel in Chicago, etc. etc. 6/8

So I tend to associate people with specific places, so that when I go there, I always think of specific people. Also some of you are connected to things, like the smell of bourbon, purple fleece, the smell of the air after it snows, stained white sheets....7/8
