Thread ⬇️

I just had a great chat with @vickiraj1508 about BGW18 & DGW19. Thought it would be a good idea to share my current strategy
I am building my team towards DGW19 with the hope of having 11 fit players with double gameweeks. Free hit in BGW18
I will then make a decision closer to 19 on Salah triple captain. It’s too early to worry about that. I think Man Utd is a great attacking fixture. Burnley not so much. I am completely fine with not using TC in 19 but fielding 11 DGW players. No need to worry about that yet
My three main worries with BB for 19

1. It will take hits to have 15 players with double gameweeks. For example I have a non playing backup goalkeeper.
2. A lot of things can happen between now and 19. Players could get covid/injured/lose form/ lose their place in the team before 19. It could ultimately lead to using more hits to field 15 double gameweek players.
3. If I build my team for BB on 19, I will leave a lot of team value on my bench moving into GW20 and beyond. For example, backup goalkeeper on the bench for min 4.5m. I don’t like rotating goalkeepers and think set and forget is best.
I think BB works best with a wildcard. I think wildcard can help me with the next blank/double gameweeks.

I think the main risk with my strategy is that blank/double gameweeks happens on more than 2 occasions which is totally possible with covid this season.
However I prefer to build a strategy on what I know at this point in time. No point worrying about ifs and buts for future double / blank gameweeks. I am currently considering Matip TAA Raphinha Rodrigo Che Adams Martial Antonio Coufal & Bowen
Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions and I would really appreciate if you could let me know if I am overlooking anything. Happy to chat if you want any input from my side on your strategy.
