Bangkok Post: The PM yesterday presided at the launch of trials of an electronic public ferry boat service on the Chao Phraya River. The project titled ‘Mine Smart Ferry: Mission No Emission’ is being run by Energy Absolute Plc (EA) and the Chao Phraya Express Boat Co. #Bangkok
The new electric boats on the Chao Phraya River will run for FREE from today until 14th February 2021. During the week they will operate between Rama V Pier and Sathon Pier. At the weekend, it will only stop at Tha Chang, Wat Arun, Wat Kalayanamit, Harbor Department & CAT Tower.
The electric boats couldn’t have come at a better time, what with PM2.5 levels rising again. There will initially be three boats and then 23 more next year. Let’s hope Saen Saeb Canal will be next!
