PSA: A lot of people seem to have confusion on what the full meaning of BIMPOC, particularly the "M" is so here it is.

It stands for:

Black/Indigenous/Mixed Race/Person of Color
Ok....y'all sharing your happiness about the "M" is bringing me so much joy!

This is what inclusivity is about! People feeling recognized for who they are, for have a space they call their own and feel part of something! ❤️❤️❤️
A little more explanation of the acronym & why it's needed more than the common BIPOC.

We as non-Caucasian people have common challenges that we must face (racism).
However, within that we have groups who have their own unique set of challenges that we in the community must recognize and support to abolish.

We need to know that some of the issues that our black brothers/sisters face the rest of us will not face. Same w/ the rest!
Similarly, Mixed folx have had their own unique set of issues that none of the rest of us BIPOC folx will face. But, until now, they have been clubbed into the rest of the group, even though the rest of us cannot empathize.

Hence why they need their own designation.
Having their own acronym allows them to feel empowered, to be recognized, and to have their own unique issues be voiced!

And I'm glad we all could recognize this today <3
To be very clear, this post was never intended to mean that one sub-group has it worse than the other, or that their issues are less important.

I only said that they are unique to that group and needs to be recognized.

This allows for surgical assist, rather than a blunt hammer
