House of the Dragon might be happening early in 2022, so I need to get people who are planning on podcasting about the show on board with one thing:
There are the Valyrians - families who came from Valyria (like the Targaryens) and there are the Velaryons, who are a also from -
- Valyria. So, the Velaryons are also Valyrians. BUT - Velaryon and Valyrian should only share one syllable in common. Don't pronounce "Velaryon" like "Valyrian" or it will confuse everyone. (Or get people mad. Like me. I'm the people.)
Lean in at least the soft-Oh sound at the end of Velaryon, to differentiate it from the soft-Ay sound at the end of Valyrian.
