How well you relate with some top govt officials and public figures matters most.
You're god of you have connect with politicians in office.
You're almighty if you can help bail out a suspect arrested with just one call no matter how grievous the offence.

Oloshi o raye wa...
...the daily watchword amongst the people who think their ostentation can make any difference in their $2,000 GDP per capita economy.
We do not hate poverty, it is poor people that will detest.
In my country, my country that has so much social class for a country of its poor....
...no one admits he or she is poor, even if 3 square meal is not easy to get. Here we see poor as the words used for aliens, we see it as a curse not as an economic reality. Our wealth revolves around food, drink, few clothes to show off in religious and social gatherings...
...coupled with how much spirituality will have, omo olorun o le to si laaye even when people were using sawdust to cook during the Abacha's time, no one admitted to be poor.
Police you pay through your taxes will beat you up if you dare put your car in front of the car of...
....a political figure on a dilapidated road which deteriorated as a result of the negligence of the political office holder.
You and the policeman are on same economic class, but because of his access to political offices, he and his family are above you, the rule of Classism.
Classism kills us more than we know or we will ever know, it has become a culture here, a culture that encourages wastage in the name of balling, a culture that validates buying a bottle of wine for 3m naira but will not support you if you're making a business out of the 3m naira
Classism that gives special treatment to you because you're foreign, if you dare give the people 'access to the foreigness' then you're no more special.

Classism in the world's poverty HQ
Same Classism that makes you a general on social media because of the numbers of engagement you rake and followers you have.
Once you're above the 10k benchmark, god forbid you see yourself exchanging words with someone below that mark, and so on and so forth
Classism in the world's poverty HQ
An accountant will forget that him or her and a poultry farmer are both contributing to the economy, he will forget that the woes of the poultry are not necessarily brought upon himself by himself but by government policies which have affected the lifestyles of both of them...
...tbe accountant doesn't know that, he just cannot roll with people who are inferior, after all this man is a farmer. The accountant will only flashes his teeth to a doctor, fellow accountant, fellow officers in suit and under AC, if at all he's engaging a farmer he's going...
...to engage a more prosperous farmer.
In the bank there's Classism, those that are withdrawing more than 120k ($240) are the ones allowed to come to the banking hall, the rest are left in unfavorable under tents feeling the scourge of scorching sun
But $240 is not up to what ...
...janitors in some countries make in a week.
If you're registering for anything or going to shop anywhere, I'll put it as once your activity requires queuing, you're getting undue preferential treatment if your dad is 'somebody' or knows somebody, others without that requirement
...are nobodies, mo one made the rule, just the dynamics of Classism. You're also saved on the queue if you're a white person or you come with a white person, in fact you will be asked to stay apart so your skin won't be 'stained'.
You get things done easily even in your home...
...once you meet the BE SOMEBODY, KNOW SOMEBODY requirement, otherwise those at the helm of the affairs of such programme, who are definitely in same economic class like you, are going to frustrate you, you know why? Classism, they have the power to make or mar you, the power...
...is not to get things done accordingly but to sit over you in the social class.
Hoodlums, hooligans and street urchins are not also left out in this trend of Classism, they might live in a different world but I have gotten intimate with their doings that I have come to realise
that, the hefty and the ferocious amongst them are the leaders, these leaders are not their for the good of the feeble ones in their followers fold, never. They're there to exercise power over their followers and fellow citizens even though they're in same economic bracket.
The leaders of the gangs go about harassing people in doing their petty trades especially transport workers who are also struggling to make ends meet, they exercise power over them to extort and loot them, if they resist they should bid bye to their wares and vehicles these will
...be carried out by lesser urchins, hungry looking and not well fed, all of them being tormented by the harsh economic conditions of the country but no, to hell with empathy for my fellow hapless citizen, this is the jungle I must exercise my own level of social class after all
...i have the monopoly to violence. All this go on even in campuses using cult groups as case studies, the hoodlums and cultists also bow to one power that may, that is the power of political offices cause this is the highest point of classism in the land. Now look at the irony..
...no empathy for fellow hapless citizens but adulations are reserved for persons whose decisions in power have contributed immensely to the woes of everyone in a specific territory which is comprised of different form of Classists.
Less I forget to add Classism of gadgets, iPhone users are inferior to all set of Android users, in Android users there are certain set of people that should talk while others listen ( I'm definitely here ). People segregating themselves over frivolities that are easily acquired
..by menial workers abroad.
Your clothes and shoes matter too, do not wear outfits that have 'cast', this means you must be exclusive, you must be pushed to the extreme to get uncommon things just to prove you're classy, once your uncommon outfit becomes common that is when
...others that are also working, but you consider as lower class, get enough money to buy what you wear, then you must look for ways to leap out of that bracket onto the next. While the people at the lower class also spend all their times thinking of ways to outsmart their mates
...too, cause they want to appear exclusive too, they want to wear things you wear, buy things you buy so they can be a bit closer to your social class which will give them an edge over their economic colleagues in this sphere of Classism.
Not just outfits, let's talk house...
...vacation points, hang out spots, shopping malls, hotels even cars things like your school, having a relative abroad are not left out as bragging rights to earn more class.
Bone straight hair, having a rich boyfriend and sometimes but rare, rich girlfriend too does magic here
Classism reduces to level of creativity and logical reasoning, it is only concerned with ostentation and meeting trends not to look out if place.

Classism in the world's poverty HQ
Extra icings to get bragging rights in a society of Classism, taste of music preferably foreign music, you must also like foreign movies and must never be caught stuttering when asked about a scene, love pizza and know how to eat shawarma and other 'exotic' food, your local foods
are not it, your local dialects? Ditch them, your outfits, appliances, home decor and cutleries must be made in Italy, made in China, made in USA or made in Germany etc
Subscription to cable TVs that you own, do not forget to have A.C, some nice foreign wares, watches and fragrance. Subscription to your Netflix account and Apple music, Audiomack is for the poor.
Listen carefully, I am not saying one of this is bad, infact all of this is good...
...what I am pointing out is that all these basic things should not have been objects to idolization and validation, people that cannot afford this should not be looked down at as less, our problem with Classism like I earlier said is that we hate poor people instead of poverty
