12/22/20. DO YOU NEED TO EXPERIENCE SOMETHING YOURSELF IN ABLE TO SERVE SOMEONE WHO NEEDS HELP? Hi, dear friends. Today I want to talk about two issues, the first being the value of suffering, and how it makes us more empathetic.
We've talked in the past about whether pain and suffering are necessary for spiritual growth, and whether they are necessary to help us be able to serve each other better. The short answer to this question is "Yes," at various points in our journeys.
Many of us bit off a lot of suffering in this particular lifetime, to prepare us for the ultimate job we came to do during this Ascension Transition period. Suffering comes in many forms, through physical pain, emotional pain, and financial hardship, for example.
It's so important to find the meaning of our own suffering, so that we can use our experiences to serve others in need. This amounts to understanding that the experience was more than just the pain we felt--the experience had value in teaching us specific skills and thoughts.
We already knew it before got here to serve, but Humanity's own research has shown that those who find meaning in their own suffering go on to grow and learn and serve others, much better than those who do not experience suffering.
Right now a lot of people are suffering. Many are dying everyday. This Christmas, there will be so many families without a loved one there to celebrate. My question to you is, "If you have not suffered and lost in this pandemic, are you sensitive to those who have?
This question also applies to another area I want to discuss again: The Homeless, the Unsheltered, among us, as well as those with other major challenges in life, all of whom give us beautiful opportunities for service.
The fact that you are here as a lightworker, on this planet with so much suffering, indicates that before you got here, you understood suffering, and how to serve those who suffer. How are you doing with that now? Are you able to serve those who suffer differently than you?
Many lightworkers volunteer to serve among the homeless population, among those affected by illnesses not easily cured, among those marginalized groups who are pleading for their oppression to end. You may have served as such in a past life, or even this one.
As you navigate through your awakening process in this lifetime, there are major opportunities to serve in simple ways, and set an example for Humanity and other lightworkers. For example, why not forego a gift this holiday, and buy an inexpensive tent...
...and some food for a homeless person or family? There is such great need right now to bring people in and out of the cold and feed them. You can never go wrong buying a $20 tent and a bag of hamburgers and visiting a homeless encampment.
A friend of mine found one of the major guides of his life, disguised as a homeless man, passed out on a bench in the park near his home. What my friend learned from a simple act of service was of immeasurable benefit to him, as he served the human aspect of his own guide.
