As wisely said by known weeb Abraham Washington “Every good character has an interesting flaw”.The reason why Mikasa is so uninteresting in people’s eyes must be not that they are dumb fucks, but because Mikasa’s flaw, her obsession with EREH, is bad?

WRONG, THEY’RE DUMB FUCKS! You see for Mikasa’s flaw isn’t her obsession with EREH, but her constant fear of losing someone. See everyone tries to make her character flaw be about the MC, Eren and that she can’t develop as a character until Eren isn’t important to her anymore and
/or she’s inherently flawed as a character until she’s separated from Eren. When it’s not really not all about Eren and a more general flaw that is the fear of losing what she cares about like a Killua plushie or Eren and Armin.
PART 2 - A Series of Unfortunate Events
Let’s review Mikasa’s backstory. At age 9 her parents brutally get murdered, she almost gets sold to the black market and she kills someone. Holy fuck this is wholesome, but don’t worry thing gets better.

She gets taken care of by the Yeager family and makes friends with Eren and Armin. SIKE! Her adoptive mom gets eaten alive by a fucking monstrous giant and her adoptive father disappears to god knows where. Now, this is wholesome 100.
As we all know PTSD builds character and how did Mikasa turn out? Into someone who is in constant fear of losing those people, she cares about. Know what makes her fear be 1000 times worse for Eren is that because he has a cowabunga suicidal revenge fantasy to kill every Titan.
Titans the same things that ate her adoptive mother. Btw, do you know Carla’s last words to Mikasa? To take care of Eren. Now, how does Eren ease her worries? By joining the Survey Corps aka THE SURVEY CORPSES.
Her fear of loss is all based on the mistrust she has against the world and how cruel she sees it. But even that fear of loss is immediately developed by Hajime “I like to see my characters suffer” Isayama in the Battle of Trost.
Part 3 - SACRIFICE YOUR EREH!
When Mikasa confronts Dimo Reeves in the Battle of Trost and gives Dimo and herself a lesson that someone’s life isn’t more important than the life of others. She also in her “fake” final moments realizes that she can live without Eren.

Mikasa also shows restraint in Eren’s trial where Levi beats him up and following that in the forest Mikasa realizes that she can trust other people as she does by entrusting Levi(the guy who she saw beat up Eren in the trial) to save Eren.
But something unique happens to Mikasa in the forest, she prioritizes killing Annie(who killed numerous comrades of hers) over saving Eren(the only objective given by Levi was to save Eren and disregard killing the titan).
You even begin to see other changes in her like the Uprising Arc where she puts complete trust in her comrades(she begins trusting the world more) to save someone she cares about. There are numerous things I’m leaving out post-Uprising, but I’ll end this here.
Also if anyone else disagrees, you are nitpicking and biased.
