NACI: The COVID-19 vaccine should not be offered to pregnant/breastfeeding individuals until further evidence is available. However, if a risk assessment deems that the benefits outweigh potential risks it may be offered to pregnant and breastfeeding individuals.

SOGC: For individuals who are at high risk of infection and/or morbidity from COVID-19... the documented risk of not getting the COVID-19 vaccine outweighs the theorized & undescribed risk of being vaccinated during pregnancy/BFing & vaccination should be offered.

We currently have no human data to speak to the risks of the vaccine for the pregnant individual or the fetus, but also no data that would warrant a contraindication to use in pregnancy at this time.

We feel that the @SOGCorg's statement is a good move - giving women the CHOICE over their healthcare and to make an informed decision with their health care provider, taking into account their individual risk factors and personal values.
