At the end of the day, no other streamer cares about your streams or your success. We are all each other's competition and need to look out for ourselves and what makes us happy before we take advice or listen to someone who had a completely different path to success than you.
Nothing makes me hate streaming more than constantly feeling like I'm not doing it right, seeing others grift and manipulate their audiences with snakeoil tactics and appeal to emotion, and just the overall deception and cut-throat/toxic behaviors I see daily to claw ahead.
This isn't to say streamers can't be genuine friends with one another. I'm friends with tons. But go ahead and see what happens when you mix business with pleasure and see how that goes lmao
