Micky never held a major world title but he was as tough as they come. He was only ever stopped once (on cuts) in a 51 fight career.

April 1997,

Micky Ward took on the unbeaten Alfonso Sanchez on the undercard of Whitaker-De La Hoya.

Ward was down in the 5th and dominated for 6 rounds before unleashing his trademark left hook to the body to stun us all.

What a turnaround and what a beauty of a shot!
March 2000,

Micky Ward travelled to England to take on Shea Neary on the undercard of Prince Naseem Hamed v Vuyani Bungu.

Ward stopped Neary in the 8th round of a thrilling battle.
July 2001

Micky Ward beat Emanuel Burton (Augustus) via a UD in an epic fight of the year battle.

It was non stop action from the opening bell with over 2000 punches thrown and this one could have gone either way.
May 2002

Micky Ward beat Arturo Gatti via a MD in the first fight of their incredible trilogy.

How could I possibly leave out one of the best rounds in boxing history?
