THREAD: Thoughts on Man Utd vs Leeds Utd:
What an entertaining & fantastic performance! All our players worked hard & from the start, we were straight at them! This is what we now need to learn to do in more games & experience from this one will help with that.

It was probably our best start to a game in a long time. McTominay was well up for it & it is very clear to see his progress since Ole arrived, but especially this calendar year. This can also be said for many of our squad including Shaw, Lindelof, Fred, Martial & Rashford.
One thing that really struck me is how likeable this group is. How happy they look when they score & when their teammates score. Ole is behind this & I can only imagine the amount of hard work he & his team have done behind the scenes to improve the club culture!

Against Leeds, the game was always expected to be open & fast paced with plenty of goals. But we deserve just as much praise as Leeds got, we matched their energy & executed our tactics perfectly. We scored 6 goals, the most in a PL match for us since 8:2 Arsenal. Impressive!
Ole & this squad deserve so much credit for their performances & overall consistency, especially in the league, since the arrival of Fernandes. He has given the team a lift & he clearly believes in Ole's plan. It looks like the majority of the other players do as well.

Now of course, there will be improvements that can be made. There's no need to get too carried away just yet. But this season has been impressive so far & we are definitely still in the title picture at Christmas, when was the last time we could say that?! We have a chance!
Of course, we won't win every game for the rest of this season. We'll win most, but there will be draws & losses. But the overall direction of this team is clear, up, up and up! You can see clearly the way Ole wants this squad to play and slowly, the players are improving.
The January transfer window will be interesting & I expect it to be focused on outgoings, whether permanent or a loan. Jones, Rojo & Romero will probably leave with Ighalo. I don't expect any incomings straight into the 1st team, but could we have another Fernandes like signing?
Overall, the game against Leeds I feel was a sign of what the future will be more like. We just need to be patient, supportive & trust the process. There will be more setbacks along the way, but the ultimate destination, as things currently stand, is success & plenty of wins.
