Last night Congress passed a $900 billion relief package. And while it was a good start, many in our immigrant communities who are equally impacted by COVID-19 are still left out.
While more than 3 million mixed-status families—left out of previous relief—will now get $600 in assistance, those workers & families who file taxes w/ ITIN, many who continue to assist communities, cities, & nation on frontlines as essential workers are still left out!
LEFT OUT: 1 million US citizen children where only parent, or both have ITINs, & workers who file w/ITINS & who are not filing taxes with another adult w/SSN, including those who work as day laborers, domestic workers, & so many others who still deserve dignity and support.
