1/ Coin Center has just published our extensive comment letter on FinCEN's proposed rules on transactions with self-custodied cryptocurrency wallets.
We've also created a form you can use to email Secretary Mnuchin.
Here's our blog post. https://www.coincenter.org/join-us-in-responding-to-an-unfair-and-discriminatory-midnight-rulemaking/

2/ I think it's really worth your time to take a moment and read our comment--and not just because @valkenburgh and I spent three sleepless days writing it. We call out the insulting process and the discriminatory substance. https://www.coincenter.org/comments-to-the-financial-crimes-enforcement-network-on-requirements-for-certain-transactions-involving-convertible-virtualcurrency-or-digital-assets/
3/ Coin Center has also set up an easy way for you to send Secretary Mnuchin a letter asking him not to discriminate against cryptocurrency transactions and instead treat them no different than cash or checks. https://coincenter.good.do/fincen/fincen-email/
4/ Finally, in response to this proposal, Coin Center has also created a new self-custodied Bitcoin address to which our supporters can send donations anonymously.

5/ If this rule goes into effect, regulated exchanges would be forced to keep a list of our donors--a violation of our First Amendment right to anonymous assembly that we would challenge in court.
6/ I'm very proud of our team for pulling this off on short notice and during the holidays. Thanks to @NeerajKA & @antoniehodge for pulling together the donation address and email campaign, @anjiecast for help with the comment, @RobinWeisman & @Sternams for advice and counsel!
