Day 22: Proposals
“So, when are you two getting married?” That was one of the most asked questions the two of them got after they had been together for a while.
“So, when are you two getting married?” That was one of the most asked questions the two of them got after they had been together for a while.
Their friends, their families, their fans, the reporters. Everyone and their mother wanted to know when The Wonder Duo would finally tie the knot. The if wasn’t even a question for anyone.
To be fair it also wasn’t a question for the two men in question. Izuku had always known where his place in the world was meant to be and that was besides Kacchan. He had only ever tried to reach a point where his Kacchan would let him stay by his side.
For Katsuki it had taken a bit longer to accept this as an indisputable fact. He had always felt a pull towards Deku and even though he had rebelled against it, as was his very nature, he had never been able to leave the other man behind.
Now that they were finally on the same page there wasn’t even a question if they would stay together forever. It was a fact like the sky was blue, the sun was rising in the morning and Izuku and Katsuki loved each other and would be with one another till the day they died.
And maybe even beyond that.
But the question after a wedding was starting to annoy them. It wasn’t as if they didn’t want to get married. Far from it, really. They had talked about it before and knew that this was what they wanted for their future.

But the more everyone else asked after it or tried to give them their opinion about a possible proposal the more the two fought against it.
If they were to give in now, it wouldn’t feel like a declaration of love between them,
If they were to give in now, it wouldn’t feel like a declaration of love between them,
and more like a chore, they had to fulfill for the rest of the world. As much as they wanted to celebrate their love they also wanted to keep it private.
Both of them had fought so long and hard for this and had endured so much hardship that it had become the most precious thing in their lives. They treasured each other and the time they could spend together and were loath to share this with anyone else.
Sometimes not even with their parents and friends.
So when one day another online magazine published an article about “The Top 5 Hero Couples and How likely it is that they’re going to get married soon” they just sighed in frustration.

“It’s as if the whole of Japan is more invested in our relationship than we are,” Izuku muttered with a dark look at the tablet laying on the table.
“They just wanna make a ton of money with the news coverage. Fucking vultures…” Katsuki agreed and pushed the tablet further away from them.
“Makes me wish we could somehow slip under the radar,” Izuku said wistfully.

“Yeah, just get married in secret and simply not tell anyone until months later. Maybe years.” Izuku giggled at that.
“Oh, can you imagine the faces of everyone!”
“I can actually,” Katsuki smirked, a certain kind of spark in his eyes.

Izuku noticed it immediately and his breath caught in his throat.
“Are you thinking what I’m thinking, Deku?”
“We’re gonna need witnesses if we’re going to pull that off, Kacchan.”
“Been researching, have you?” Izuku blushed.
“Shut up, as if you didn’t do some research.”

Katsuki didn’t deny it.
“We can tell our parents, but that’s it.” Slowly Izuku started to smile.
“This is the worst proposal ever, Kacchan.”
The End
