Sympathetic to the argument that the Relief Bill is so weak bc Republicans are indifferent to suffering which hobbles Dems in negotiating.

..Republicans agreed to do what is needed by folks. We elect them to represent us, but again it’s corporations and the military who get paid. It really undercuts the Democratic message. Why elect you if you won’t fight for us?
Republicans would’ve been blamed for the suffering. That’s the politics. They’re in power. Now Dems gifted them a boon for the Senate runoff, increasingly the likelihood that Biden will be fighting the same battle in 2021.

In the end, people still suffer. Dems got played again.
