Update!
As many of you know, I enrolled in the Moderna phase 3 vaccine trial back in August. Now that Moderna has been issues their EUA, I have been unblinded and can officially report what I have suspected since August, which is that I was in the vaccine arm.

I received my first dose on August 4th, and my second dose on August 31st. I have received quite a few questions since then, so I wanted to post an update on my experience thus far.
After my first dose August 4th, the only side effect I experienced was some mild arm soreness by the end of the night (approx 12 hours post administration) by mid-day the following day this had completely resolved.
I do know of others who experienced a mild headache, but I did not have this. Overall it felt very similar to a flu shot.
After my second dose August 31st, by that evening I had heightened arm soreness, as well as an area of redness around the injection site.

These effects last ~48 hours. The following morning (9/1) I woke up with heightened fatigue, chills/aches, and a mild headache. Luckily for me (as I worked the 31st and 1st) these went away within 15 min with some Tylenol. After that I felt totally fine, other than the sore arm

Luckily for me I did not have to take any time off work, however if you are worried about that taking a day off after dose 2 may be a good idea.
For me this did not feel much different than a flu shot, and for the protection it gives I 1000% recommend it.

Per my antibody results a couple weeks ago, my antibodies are still going strong 3.5 months later. I will stay in the study for the next two years so they can continue observation of my antibody levels. If anyone has any questions feel free to send them my way.
