1/ I'm thinking about using "velocity" or maybe "rapid completion" This would be a signal to not let things stagnate too long.

As I'm starting to review this past year, I'm realizing there's a lot of stuff on my lists that are just "stuck."
2/ Lots of important tasks and ideas have just rotted themselves out of relevance.

Things that should have taken 5 minutes to complete metastasized into hours of work to undo the delay damage.
3/ Tasks stacked up into unwieldy and inhumane piles of unrealized potential and regret.

Now when I look at these buckets, I'm filled with dread and anxiety instead of inspiration.
4/ Another set of tasks and ideas are works-in-progress, but never completed.

These are often victims of perfectionism. They have already achieved 80% of their value at 20% completion.

I just never shipped.
5/ Ideas in the "Someday/Maybe" black hole are never attempted, though they might represent the truly transformation work I would do "when I have the time."

Then I stress myself getting digging into that list when the time comes. https://twitter.com/davidnunez/status/1335941065220747266
6/ So if I aim to focus on "velocity" in 2021, then perhaps everything flows through the machine quickly and without clogging up my mental space.

There are specific tactics I have in mind.
7/ Of course "Velocity" without "Trajectory" is the very definition of spinning wheels.

However, I actually have a good sense of where I'm going, I just feel stuck in the mud a bit in the now.

So for me, the North Star is "Velocity"
